Founder & guide
Andrew Ward
Andrew founded Expedition Yorkshire after seven years leading tours across southern England with The English Bus, where he personally guided more than 6,000 international visitors and helped the company reach the number one UK tour ranking on TripAdvisor.
He started Expedition Yorkshire to open up the county he loves — solving the transport and access gaps that too often keep visitors from experiencing the real Yorkshire, and bringing that same warm, expert guiding north.
Tour guide
Richard Marsden
A lifelong northerner, Richard was born and raised near Hebden Bridge. He holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and practised dentistry for more than 30 years in Pickering and Malton before turning to work he loves in equal measure — IT presentations, guiding at heritage sites and leading tours.
Away from the road he's a keen traveller who enjoys musical theatre, yoga, running and wildlife conservation, and serves on the board of The Forest Healing Foundation in Sri Lanka.
